Welcome Your Students with Personalized First Day of Kindergarten Crowns!

Welcome Your Students with Personalized First Day of Kindergarten Crowns!

Do you love to make hats with your students as much as I do? Crowns are always a hit! I used to make a Pete the Cat crown on the first day of school, but now I have switched to a more personal idea.

These “Welcome to Kindergarten” crowns are so much fun! Using Adobe, you enter your student names in a chart. It goes quickly! Then the names autofill into the document. Super simple to use!

For simplicity I usually just have my students glue their work onto a sentence strip. I measure and staple and it goes very quickly. However, this set also comes with back bands if you want to do things that way.

Using personalized crowns is good for a lot of reasons!

  • Creates community

  • Fine motor practice with the coloring, cutting, and gluing

  • Gives kids a sense of pride

  • Perfect photo ops! ;)

  • Parents love them

  • These will help you quickly learn student names the first week of school

  • Practice with name work
